I sort of fell into this strangely addictive craft a little by accident. In July of 2012 my niece, Charlie, turned two and my brother asked me to make her a cake. I have always baked and thoroughly enjoy getting into the kitchen to make biscuits and cakes but had never really had a go at decorating. I made the cake, everyone loved it and the rest is history!
I keep thinking I should go have some lessons but, meh, I don't really have the time and I sorta like figuring it all out for myself. Please excuse the pedestrian nature of my blog...I am working on styling it Blossombelle but am a bit of a 'puter dunce. Once I get it sorted I will start posting proper and tell the stories behind the cakes. These pictures are only a handful of what I've done over the past year. I look forward to sharing Blossombelle, and my dreams for her, with you!

A recent cake. I had hand crafted the flower from paper and wanted to make a cake to match. This was for a girlfriends birthday and she prefers buttercream to fondant, so I just kept it simple. |
